JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE:
FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the smooth operation of Front Desk, Reservations and
Guest Services
UNIFORM:
Appropriate business dress, plus name tag.
HOURS:
This is a salaried position, you will work a minimum of 40 hours per
week.
JOB DUTIES:
a) Responsible for hiring, training, supervision and discipline of all Front
Desk, Reservation and Guest Services staff members in order to maintain
the desired level of service and in keeping with service standards.
b) Responsible for motivating personnel so that they perform to the best of
their abilities and setting an example by your own performance and
enthusiasm.
c) Working regular shifts at the front desk and reservations
d) Preparing bi-weekly payroll.
e) Prepared to work or re-arrange work schedule as required in case of any
absence.
f) Responsible for checking groups, conferences and visitors. Make
copies of rooming lists; Housekeeping should receive a copy a.s.a.p. with
arrival time noted, all other copies should remain in the group file until the
group arrives.
g) Responsible for the cleanliness of the office area.
h) Responsible for establishing and consistently enforcing rules and
regulations regarding staff members.
i) Responsible for supporting company policies and management
decisions, interpreting and disseminating this information to staff
members.
j) Responsible for holding regular meetings with staff members in order to
keep them properly informed and trained.
k) Responsible for property checks.
l) Responsible for attending regular Department Heads meetings and
contributing ideas with regards to hotel operation in general.
m) Performance of other duties as required
n) Prepare weekly and daily reports
o) Manage FIT allotment, extra allotment requests and wholesalers
concerns.
p) Month end (print all 4 reports, complete reports for Sales and Head
Office)
Ensure Reservations and Front Desk complete month end duties, filing old
back up, Activity reports, housekeeping reports, work orders and advance
deposits.
